Turn any image into 3D with a couple of clicks
To turn an image into 3D, it must be in SVG (vector format). You can also convert PNG or JPG to SVG with any online converter, such as this one.
When you have an SVG file, all you have to do is drag-and-drop it onto the canvas, set the thickness, and convert it into a geometric element.
See how easy it is:
After importing, the SVG object will have the following settings:
If you plan to transform the object into a plane, it is possible to set the size of the textures. This can also be changed at any other time in the material properties.
If you plan to convert the object to geometry (mesh), this option helps set the object's details. You can also decrease or increase the number of segments (polygons).
Defines the distance between layers. By default, it is set to a minimum value of 1. That way, the layers are slightly at different levels and it does not cause them to blend.
This option sets the thickness of the object. Change the thickness of the object and any other parameters at any time after the conversion.
After the conversion, the SVG becomes a plane with textures. This is the same process when importing any image (png, jpg).
This conversion is done via the context menu by right-clicking on the object (you can do it on the canvas itself or on the left panel), or by using E
hotkey.
It will be shown as a geometric object or a set of geometric objects (if the SVG included several layers). Proceed to edit the object using all the features of Vectary Studio.
